JVW Inc. a leader in corporate marketing, web design, quantitative research, and advertising in conjunction with up and coming singer songwriter Helena Albert, is pleased to announce the debut of Albert’s first video for the song ‘Pushed Away’.  The Internet broadcast debut of this song will be on Thursday, October 10th at 1:00pm.

‘Pushed Away’ is the song Helena began writing when she was 12 years old. The soon to be released video shows a girl struggling to make an emotional decision by searching within herself, which was inspired by a friend who was headed down the wrong path, like many adolescents. Helena was faced with the difficult decision of getting help for the friend in need, or turning her head and looking the other way. This video shows its story. JVW Inc., along with Susan Collins, an award winning ASCAP singer-songwriter who has worked with artists such as Jimi Hendrix, ELO, and Paul Shaffer, are helping bring attention to the often-silent issues of teenage depression addiction and self-harm set within her music video.

Helena states, “Bullying, depression, self-harm, and addiction are serious issues that need attention. I want my song and video to let kids know that they are not alone and it’s okay to get help. If my music can help one person, it will all be worth it.”

Helena is doing what she loves the most – singing and helping people. Born and raised in Dunmore, Helena began singing and writing songs at a very young age. In elementary school Helena was bullied, which caused her to change schools hoping for the bullying to end.  Helena then began to write her feelings down in the way of lyrics, gaining strength through the music. Soon after, and with notebooks full of lyrics, she approached her piano teacher, Karl Sidnam, to help put the music to her lyrics. The songs that have been created have serious tones to them in order to promote awareness of the many struggles face by teens across the country.

Writing lyrics started as a form of self-expression and blossomed into a passion for helping others. Friends then began to respond positively to Helena’s music and newfound self-assurance, turning to her for help with their own issues. Helena found herself more motivated than ever and began to pursue voice and acting lessons in New York City to try and take the passion to the next level. While in New York, Helena played her songs for her vocal coach, ASCAP award-winning, singer songwriter, Susan Collins. Miss Collins took Helena under her wing to help ‘Pushed Away’ become the song she felt it could be. The song is also garnering interest from a high-profile, award-winning producer known for his dance remixes.
